- Characteristics of taste
- "A word of warning: Be careful of fire, don't make Osen cry, fatten your horses." The name was chosen because Osen later became the lord of Maruoka. This sake is made using groundwater sourced from the mountains that line the sacred mountain Hakusan, the best sake rice that has been shaved down to 35% of its brown rice size, traditional techniques and a unique koji-making method, and fermented slowly at low temperature to create a fragrant, elegant sake. The sake has been aged at low temperature for three years, giving it a mellow aroma. It is then labeled with a local Echizen weaving and packed in a wooden box lined with velvet from Fukui Prefecture.
