Kashiwaro Sake Brewery in Nagaoka, Niigata, has released two Junmai sakes, "Super Dry" and "Super Sweet", "Kashiwaro Super Dry Junmai Sake" and "HAKURO SWEET"!
Two types of pure rice sake with contrasting flavors, "Super dry" and "Super sweet", have been born from the famous brewery "Kashiwaro Sake Brewery" in Echigo Nagaoka, the home of light, dry sake. Please enjoy the challenge of "Kashiwaro Sake Brewery", which is connected to the times and connects to the future.

Founded in 1751 (the first year of the Horeki era) in Nagaoka, Niigata.
In 1882 (Meiji 15), the company took over the sake brewery of the Makino family, the feudal lords of Nagaoka, from whom "Kashiwa-ro" was derived, and inherited the use of the family's "three oaks" crest and the product name "Kashiwa-ro." Today, while traditional sake is the company's roots, it is also actively engaged in research and development to create new flavors, including the introduction of new equipment.
Starting Tuesday, October 2024, 10, we will be releasing two new Junmai sakes with contrasting flavors: "Kashiwaro Super Dry Junmai Sake" and "HAKURO SWEET."
By simultaneously releasing new pure rice sake products with unique and contrasting flavors - "ultra dry," which has a sake meter value of over +10 among the dry types of sake popular among connoisseurs, and "ultra sweet," which has a sake meter value of -10 or less among the sweet types with a fruity flavor, the aim is to increase awareness of sake from Niigata Nagaoka, a historic and famous brewery, and to create new fans.
Hakuro Super Dry Junmai Sake
This new product was developed as pure rice sake that has been carefully brewed by a daimyo brewery that descended from the Makino family, the feudal lords of Echigo Nagaoka domain.
Despite being a pure rice sake, it is an extra-dry type that has achieved a sake meter value of +15. By carefully selecting yeast suited to long-term fermentation and brewing slowly and carefully, it has a crisp mouthfeel, but also a light and mild aroma that allows you to fully enjoy the flavor of the rice. The design emphasizes the number "15," which is reminiscent of an extra-dry sake, to express a wine-like appearance, as "a sake that goes well with Western food."

The simplicity of "Junmai sake" made only from rice, water, koji, and yeast, as well as the stylish and sophisticated design that evokes the smooth mouthfeel and surface of water, are expressed in this sake.
