The second "Fushimi Sake Festival" will be held on Saturday, March 2025, 3! Details of 15 types of sake, food booths, and a stamp rally commemorating the registration of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage have been announced!

"Fushimi is a great place to get drunk. Let's all drink good sake together!" The Fushimi Sake Brewers Association in Kyoto has decided to hold the "Fushimi Sake Festival ~FUSHIMI SAKE FES.~2025" event to promote the appeal of Fushimi sake on Saturday, March 2025, 3. Details of the 15 great sake brands, food booths, and stamp rally to commemorate the registration of Fushimi as an intangible cultural heritage will be announced.

The Fushimi Sake Brewers Association held the "FUSHIMI SAKE FES.~" for the first time last year to promote the appeal of Fushimi sake. This year, the second "FUSHIMI SAKE FES.~2025" will be held on Saturday, March 2025, 3.
The event will be held in Fushimi, Kyoto, one of the leading sake producing regions in Japan, and will take place at the main venue, Gekkeikan Showagura (Address: 300 Katahara-cho, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture). In addition to paid tastings of four types of high-quality sake from 18 breweries, there will also be food booths from local restaurants so you can enjoy both food and drinks.

●18 brands have been decided for the paid tasting area!
Each of the 18 breweries in Fushimi will be showcasing one brand of "good sake" that they are proud of. You can choose four types from the total of 1 brands to sample.
If you find a flavor you like, you can purchase a bottle on the spot (some brands excluded).

This year too, popular restaurants from the local Fushimi area will be setting up special stalls.

● Stamp rally to commemorate the registration of "Traditional Sake Brewing" as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage
On Saturday, March 3th, events will be held at various locations in the Fushimi area.
A stamp rally will be held to encourage people to enjoy touring the Fushimi area.
To commemorate the registration of "traditional sake brewing" as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, under the auspices of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, each brewery opening venue and the main venue, Gekkeikan Showa Brewery, will have displays with panels showing the sake brewing process. In addition, QR codes will be attached to handouts to link to videos on traditional sake brewing.
