[Restaurant Exclusive] A first for Kyoto! A free tasting event for the popular assemblage sake [HEAVENSAKE] will be held at "My Sake World Kyoto Kawaramachi Store" on August 2025, 8
HEAVENSAKE, a luxury sake brand with a presence in over 10 countries around the world, will be holding its first tasting event in Kyoto. Three bottles of sake, "Azur," "Orange," and "Noir," will be available to sample for free.
HEAVENSAKE, a luxury sake brand currently available in over 10 countries worldwide as a Japanese-French collaboration assemblage sake, will make its Japan debut in November 2024.
The free tasting event will be held for the first time in Kyoto at My Sake World Kyoto Kawaramachi store on August 2025, 8.
Three HEAVENSAKE drinks will be available for tasting: "Azur," "Orange," and "Noir."
This is a great opportunity to try a free sample of HEVENSAKE, created by Regis Camus, a legend in the champagne world who is also known as the god of assemblage.

Regis Camus
Regis Camus has been the Chief Winemaker of Piper-Heidsieck, a French Champagne house loved by celebrities around the world, for many years, and has been awarded Winemaker of the Year a total of eight times. Most Champagne is actually made by assemblage (blending), and the outstanding techniques and culture of assemblage are deeply rooted in the winemaking process.

Three products will be offered this time: Label Noir Junmai Daiginjo from Niizawa Brewery in Miyagi, famous for its Hakurakusei sake; Label Orange Junmai Daiginjo from Saura, the brewery behind Urakasumi; and Label Azur Junmai Ginjo, produced in collaboration with Yamanashi Meijo Co., Ltd., known for its Shichiken brand.
"An assemblage is like a puzzle. It is made up of multiple pieces. Adding 1% can completely change the taste. What I think is great is that the magic of assemblage is much more than XNUMX + XNUMX = XNUMX!" says Regis.
Regis' 40 years of Champagne skills shine through, with some wines undergoing more than 30 tests, while others are decided in just one day. However, regardless of the number of tests or the number of days it takes, the important thing is to keep going without compromise until it reaches a perfect state. Of course, he also works with sake breweries. Another feature of HEAVENSAKE is that it only uses junmai sake. This was intentional, but in the end, he tasted a variety of sakes and chose the junmai one that he thought was the most delicious.
