The Fushimi Sake Brewers Association will hold the "Fushimi Sake Festival - FUSHIMI SAKE FES. -" for the first time in 2024 to raise awareness of the appeal of Fushimi sake. The third "Fushimi Sake Festival - FUSHIMI SAKE FES. - 2026" will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
The event will be held in Fushimi, Kyoto, one of the leading sake producing regions in Japan, and will take place at the main venue, Gekkeikan Showagura (Address: 300 Katahara-cho, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture). In addition to paid tastings of four types of high-quality sake from 18 breweries, there will also be food booths from local restaurants so you can enjoy both food and drinks.

This will be the third time the event is being held, and improvements will be made to further increase visitor satisfaction, such as changing the event time slots from four to five.

1. Enjoy four types of great Fushimi sake!
One ticket comes with four sake vouchers. You can enjoy the best sake from each brewery, including limited edition sake, all in one venue. Refill vouchers will also be available for purchase on-site for those who want more.

2. The event will be held in five sessions instead of four!
We have increased the number of times the event is held and reduced the number of people per session to ensure that the space matches the capacity of the venue. This will reduce congestion as much as possible and allow you to enjoy your drinks at your own pace.

3.Even though it's outdoors, it has a roof to keep out the rain!
The venue, Gekkeikan Showa Brewery, is an outdoor factory site with a large roof. The rest area is also covered, of course.

4. There are plenty of food booths!
Many popular local Fushimi restaurants will be setting up stalls and selling their signature dishes. You can enjoy a wide variety of menu items, mainly snacks that go well with alcohol.

Also on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, 12 sake breweries will hold brewery openings, as well as other simultaneous local events and a stamp rally that will take you around local shopping districts, making it a day that can be enjoyed not only by adults but also by the whole family.
