My Sake World, a Kyoto-based company that creates original blended sake and pairs it with snacks, will be holding a traveling experience at EnCounter in Nihonbashi, Tokyo in April and May!
Event・News
Wabunka is a service that offers inbound guests a high-quality, extraordinary experience that connects them to the depths of Japan, with special specifications limited to one group per session. They have launched a limited-time plan that allows guests to create a blend of sake and enjoy pairing the resulting drink with small side dishes.
At My Sake World, you can create your own unique sake by blending carefully selected sake from all over Japan.
This is a new and experiential facility where you can learn about the characteristics and history of sake, compare different types of sake such as ginjo sake, junmai sake, unpasteurized sake, and aged sake, and enjoy customizing your own original sake combination to your liking.
This time, My Sake World Oike Bettei will be offering special snacks to go with the sake, which are not usually offered. Wabunka has introduced a limited-time plan where you can enjoy the high-quality pairing of carefully selected sake with Kyoto-style snacks.

The tour begins with a lecture on sake led by a guide. The participants will learn about the flavors that come from the different ingredients, such as rice, water, and yeast, the brewing methods for ginjo and junmai sake, the origins of aroma, and the role of sake in religious ceremonies.
Next, you will sample 12 types of sake carefully selected from around the country, mainly from breweries in Kyoto, while listening to explanations and learning about the differences in taste, aroma, and aftertaste. You can also enjoy the changes in taste due to the sake being served in different vessels and at different temperatures.
Choose your favorite sake from the 12 varieties you sampled and then move on to the blending experience. You can make samples up to two times. After the experience, you can enjoy pairing your original sake blend with some snacks. It's a time to discover the philosophy behind sake, and to embody the "iki" (elegance) that is unique to Kyoto.
