Mt. Nikomiya
Enjoy stew and oden with Japanese sake at Nikomiya Gaku, which has moved to Omiya, Kyoto.
Relocated to Kyoto's Aburanokoji Nishikijoru in October 2023!The warm townhouse atmosphere and the taste of that ``offal stew'' are still alive and well.

INDEX
Enjoy the same taste as before and the atmosphere of a townhouse.
Nikomiya Gaku, which has been loved in Kyoto's Nishikikoji Shinmachi for 11 years, has relocated and opened in a 10-minute walk from Hankyu Karasuma Station and Omiya Station!
The warm townhouse atmosphere and the taste of that ``offal stew'' are still alive and well. There are two table seats that seat 4 people and a counter seat that seats 10 people, making it a comfortable place for everyone, whether you're alone or with a group of people.
In addition to Japanese sake, we also have a wide range of shochu and chuhai drinks!
Stewed dishes and obanzai that permeate the body
We have a stable lineup of everything from the shop's signature menu items such as ``Motsu stew'' and ``Oden'' to ``Obanzai'' and fried foods!
If it's too hot, ``Oden'' will be closed, but ``Motsu stew'' can be enjoyed throughout the year.We also have today's recommended menu, so we definitely want to make this a "go-to" restaurant.
Offal stew (large size) 850 yen
The miso-based soup stock that keeps being added is rich but has a smooth texture. All five types of offal are fresh, slowly stewed and tender.
Assorted oden 800 yen
Combine the bonito soup stock with the miso soup stock from the stew. The 4 types of assorted items are up to the owner. This time, we will introduce chikuwa, radish, fried tofu, and chicken meatballs.
Various obanzai. On this day, vegetables and fried chicken are 450 yen, dried daikon radish is 400 yen, and itokon mentai is 450 yen.
The obanzai prepared by the owner, Mr. Kurokawa, who was born and raised in Kyoto, tastes like a mother who was a good cook. The 1000 yen omakase three-course set is served randomly.
Only if you love snowboarding!Limited edition Niigata sake too
The owner, Mr. Kurokawa, named the shop ``Gake'' because he loves snowboarding. He travels to Nagano and Niigata once a month, and to Fukui once a week.As a result, he sometimes encounters rare and limited edition sake that is not available outside the prefecture.
Here are the three brands introduced this time.
We offer a well-balanced selection of production areas and flavors to suit the tastes of various people.
Takachiyo Junmai Daiginjo limited edition unadjusted raw unprocessed sake 1 yen per cup
Takachiya Sake Brewery (Niigata Prefecture), alcohol content 16% or more but less than 17%, rice polishing ratio 48%
The sake rice is 100% "Ipponjime" from Minami Uonuma.Limited edition black label has a luxurious taste. The fruity aroma and juicy texture are a good contrast to the bitter appearance!
Mr. Kurokawa"Hiyaoroshi has a flavor that lasts all summer. It's a strong-tasting sake that goes well with grilled fish."
Sokuu Special Junmai Raw Unprocessed Sake Short Culm Ferry 1 cup 1200 yen
Fujioka Sake Brewery (Kyoto Prefecture), alcohol content 17%, rice polishing ratio 60%
We use the precious "short culm ferry" for sake rice, bringing out the full flavor of the rice.Once you take a sip, the elegant, plump flavor and sharp aftertaste spread.A very well-balanced classic taste.
Mr. Kurokawa"As the name suggests, it's clean and refreshing. It goes well with light dishes such as obanzai. Tankanwatofune is a Kyoto-only sake, so it's a popular drink that even Japanese sake lovers will appreciate."
Tamagawa Hitokuiwa Namazake 1 yen per cup
Kinoshita Sake Brewery (Kyoto Prefecture), alcohol content 16%, rice polishing ratio 60%
Mr. Kurokawa``Sake breweries in the UK tend to have brewers who are known as chief brewers, so I get the impression that they tend to produce more unconventional and interesting sake.Tamagawa tends to be heavier, but this one is well-balanced and refreshing.''
A comfortable atmosphere created by the owner's warm personality
Neighbors brought gifts, and friends brought souvenirs.Mr. Kurokawa's warm personality was palpable even during my brief visit. ``I've lived in this area all my life,'' he said, and the connections he's built over the years seem to have created a cozy atmosphere in the store.
Finally, when asked about their plans after the renovation, they answered, ``I want to continue as usual.''I love a store like this that will continue to be here forever.
