Head a little west from the Shijo Karasuma intersection in the center of Kyoto.Once you pass through the stone pavement between the buildings, it's so quiet that you forget you're facing a main street. [Kyoto Torihachi] is a yakitori restaurant with an omakase stop system, which is rare in Kansai. We sell chicken from all over the country, including Kyoto's Tamba Black Chicken, Fukushima's Date Chicken, Tottori's Daisen Chicken, and Tokushima's Awaodori. The owner actually visits the production areas and carefully selects only the products that he thinks are delicious. There are around 30 types of skewers. It also includes seasonal vegetables, so you'll be able to eat more and more. You can also order a la carte dishes and side dishes separately, so make sure you have some room in your stomach.
The interior resembles a sushi restaurant, with only counter seating and menus written on wooden tags.Yakitori will be served to suit each person's pace for up to 15 people.

One piece of yakitori costs around 350 yen
From the left: meatballs, kashiwa (thigh meat), sabiyaki (chicken fillet), chicken wings, shishito peppers, and shiitake mushrooms.Grill the chicken breast lightly so that it stays moist, and cook the meatballs thoroughly so that they are fragrant and brown.Using Bincho charcoal from Kishu, you can finely judge the degree of grilling depending on the part and ingredients.
Tsukune
The meatballs, which are as big as ping pong balls, are made with a secret sauce. When you bite into it while piping hot, it melts into pieces and gives off the soft scent of shiso leaves. The moderate texture of the minced greens and the sweetness of the onions add depth to the flavor, making it a satisfying dish.
Smoked potato salad 880 yen including tax
A must-order dish in addition to yakitori. The chicken thighs served on the potato salad are sent to the smoker after an order is placed.Slowly smoke with cherry blossom chips and cook.``Iburigakko'' stuffed with potatoes gives it a crunchy texture.
