Established in the early Taisho era, Umeda Sake Brewery is located in a residential area in Funakoshi, Aki Ward, in the eastern part of Hiroshima City, and is known for its red brick chimney. In the past, there were five competing sake breweries in this area, but now there is only one brewery, and it continues to hone its skills as one of the region's leading sake breweries.
``Honshu Ichi,'' which is made with the desire to make the best sake in Japan, mainly uses rice suitable for sake brewing from Hiroshima Prefecture. The water used for brewing is underground water that flows from Mt. Iwataki behind the brewery and is pumped up from a depth of 60 meters underground. Characterized by its fruity aroma and mellow taste, we offer a wide range of products, including unfiltered types that allow you to enjoy the strength of unprocessed sake, Junmai Daiginjo that is gorgeous and perfect as a gift, and nigori sake that can be enjoyed as a dessert. Many of them are easy to pair with dishes either on the rocks or warmed, and the taste is loved by men and women of all ages.
In recent years, it has become a brand that is attracting attention not only in Japan but also around the world, receiving acclaim at global alcohol competitions such as the Kura Master sake competition in France and the International Wine Challenge (IWC) held in London.
