Providing sake that adds color to various scenes
The foothills of the Suzuka Mountains in northern Mie Prefecture are blessed with abundant natural water and the bitterly cold Suzuka Oroshi. It began when the founder, Kozaemon Ito, who was involved in farming in the area, which was known as the ``Rice Storehouse'' and was suitable for growing rice, decided to become a sake brewer. Since its founding in 1847, the company has cherished the Ito family's secret traditional manufacturing methods and has been manufacturing small quantities by hand, making use of the power of nature and blessed materials.
The local sake is carefully brewed using local sake rice grown in contracted paddy fields within 12 miles of the sake brewery, mineral-rich Chikuyosui water that has been selected as one of the XNUMX best waters, and local yeast developed in Mie Prefecture. It is impressive that you can feel the original flavor of rice. The representative brand, ``Uzume,'' was named with the wish to be a presence that adds color to drinking parties.
