Ueda Sake Brewery
Ueda Sake Brewery is a historic sake brewery that has been in business for over 400 years and has been in operation for 19 generations in Nara, the birthplace of sake.
A historic sake brewery that has been in business for over 400 years and has been in operation for 19 generations in Nara, the birthplace of sake. The area surrounding the brewery, which stands against the backdrop of the sacred mountain Mt. Ikoma, is blessed with nature, and the soft brewing water pumped from the rich underground vein creates a mellow sake.
The sake brewed using Bodhimotozukuri, a brewing method from the Muromachi period, embodies the company's motto of ``cherishing ancient methods and exploring modern methods.'' It is characterized by the use of raw rice in the manufacturing process, and the taste has a perfect balance of umami and acidity.
As a long-established sake brewery, we brew the sacred sake of Himuro Shrine and Ouma Taisha Shrine, as well as ordinary sake that has been loved by the locals for a long time, as well as Junmai Ginjo made with the legendary fully organically grown rice ``Isehikari'', as well as raw sake, cloudy sake, and frozen sake. There is a wide selection of drinks as well.
Ueda Sake Brewery's unique style is that it sells almost all of its current 1400-koku brewery directly. By connecting directly with the people who drink it, and listening to their voices, we continue to evolve, and at the same time, we are delivering the wish of ``May the happiness continue for a long time'', which is encapsulated in the name of our representative brand ``Urecho'', to the whole country.
