Naminone Sake Brewery, Tanaka Sake Brewery
Naminone Sake Brewery and Tanaka Sake Brewery are brewers in Shiga Prefecture who have been working hard together. The two brewers are the same age and even share the same birthday. They have joined forces to release a limited edition collaboration sake.
Naminooto Sake Brewery, located on the west side of Lake Biwa Bridge, has a history of over 200 years. Based on the philosophy of "Kotsubo Shinshu," which means "preserving tradition while taking on new challenges," the XNUMXth generation brewer, Takashi Nakai, his three brothers, and now his son, carefully brew sake.
Meanwhile, Tanaka Sake Brewery, which is located in Koka City, southeast of Lake Biwa, was founded in 1911. Their motto, "Wajo Ryoshu," means "connecting people with delicious sake." Tanaka Shigeya, the fifth-generation head of the family, is also the head brewer, and during the brewing season, he works closely with his wife Tomoko to make sake.
Nakai Takashi and Tanaka Shigeya are brewers in Shiga Prefecture who have worked hard together. They are actually the same age and even share the same birthday. In April 2, the two will release a collaborative sake. On their birthdays, February 2024th, they carried out an interesting project in which they brewed the same variety of rice and the same yeast at the same time in their respective breweries. It is a Junmai Daiginjo made with 4% polished Yamadanishiki rice and 2 yeast. The only difference is the water and the brewer. We hope you will enjoy tasting and comparing the unique characteristics of each brewery, which stand out because they are made under the same conditions.
