A report on the "KIDOU Global Conference" - a new initiative that can be tackled thanks to a solid foundation

On September 18th, 2025, the international exhibition "KIDOU Global Conference" was held at Gran Green Osaka. Sake World participated in the event, which brought together startups developing businesses in digital fields such as AI, IoT, and Web3, by exhibiting at a booth and speaking at a session. Taking advantage of the opportunity of the World Expo, Osaka is solidifying its position as a cutting-edge city of the future, and we introduced the efforts of the Sake RWA, which is based in neighboring Kyoto.

"Sake x Web3"

As of 2025, Sake World operates six businesses, covering a wide range of fields.

At the "KIDOU Global Conference," we participated from the perspective of utilizing Web3 (NFT), which is used in the sake marketplace "Sake World NFT" and the sake brewery brand owner service "Sake World Sake Brewery Investment."
Because it is the latest digital technology, Sake World stands out among the businesses that use it.
A variety of business people, including managers, entrepreneurs, and investors, attended the event from both Japan and abroad, and CEO Nakagawa's pitch session, which was entirely in English, attracted a lot of attention.

Where are NFTs now?

For Sake World, the use of Web3 is only one area of their overall business, as they are taking an approach to increasing the value of sake from a variety of angles, including digital.
Even so, both the booth and the pitches attracted a lot of interest, especially in the digital realm. Some visitors were considering starting a business using NFTs, and Sake World, which has already shown some movement, may be a benchmark to use in the future.

It doesn't matter if it's not 100% - what's important is that it's being utilized.
Web3 and NFTs may not be where we envisioned them to be in the future, but there is still excitement surrounding the new technology.

Because there is a foundation

Although we participated in the "KIDOU Global Conference" as part of the "Sake x Web3" initiative, we also exhibited the "real world" at our booth.
At Sake World, we will be showcasing the current bottles of our original brand sake "Assemblage Club," as well as custom-made bottles of sake such as "Seiroku" served at the eel restaurant [Yondaime Kikugawa]. We will also be showcasing the happi coats worn by staff at "My Sake World," an experience facility for making your own sake.

Also available was "Leaf," a Kyoto/Shiga town information magazine that Leaf Publications has been publishing since its founding. The print version of Leaf will cease publication in 2023, and Leaf is now run as an online publication called "Leaf KYOTO," but there were still quite a few readers who knew it back then. Many readers were drawn to the pages of the magazine, then stopped to look at the entire booth, and eventually learned about the "new business."

"Leaf," a town information magazine for Kyoto and Shiga, was published in print until 2023.

Incidentally, the operating company, Leaf Publications, has a long history of involvement with sake. For example, the Fushimi Sake Festival, held every November, has been held since 2015, and the company has actually been involved in running it since its inception. The company has also produced a variety of other content, and the knowledge gained from these and the relationships of trust with sake breweries and sake brewing associations form the foundation of its operations.

As the saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a day," starting a business is no easy task, especially when it comes to selling sake, a product with a history spanning 2000 years.
Leaf Publications has "launched" with Sake World at the center of its second founding, but this was a rare opportunity to realize from a fresh perspective that this is only possible with a long-standing foundation.
