Toasting with sake at clubs in the capital! [WORLD KYOTO] x [Sake World] Vol.4
This is the fourth collaboration between Kyoto's long-established club [WORLD KYOTO] and [Sake World]! They are creating a new culture by combining Kyoto's sake breweries with Japanese sake and music.

"Sake World" is a monthly sake brewery DJ event held at the long-established club WORLD KYOTO in Kyoto. It is an event where the sake brewers themselves act as DJs and enjoy music and sake. The number of participating sake breweries is increasing, and it is becoming a fun event.
"Sake World" is an event that is gradually gaining popularity and is organized by Leaf Publications, Inc., a Kyoto-based sake media company, WORLD KYOTO, and 11 member breweries of the Kyoto Prefecture Sake Brewers Youth Council.

This time, Yamamoto Honke, famous for their representative brand Shinsei, participated for the first time. I was surprised at how well they played, probably thanks to all their practice! It was hard to believe it was their first time.

What's interesting about Kyoto is that it attracts a wide variety of people, from those involved in traditional crafts to venture companies, bank directors, and government officials. Everyone loves sake.

It is always popular with foreigners, ranging from sake lovers to those who tried sake for the first time. Cocktails are also very popular.

The shop is crowded around 22pm. If you come earlier, you can enjoy a drink while chatting with the brewers.
The party is always at its most lively around 22pm. When you finish dinner and are looking for the next place to go in Kyoto, you may be surprised at how few options there are. When you feel like having a little more fun, people are drawn into the clubs where the lights and sounds are coming out. Music and alcohol are the perfect match to inspire people since ancient times. The preconceived notion that "at a club, it's got to be tequila or champagne!" has now been broken down, and when you break down the fun factor, it's "music" and "alcohol". This event proves that the same thing would happen if you replaced tequila with sake.

This time's sake brewery DJs. This time too, a maiko and her mother from Nishizato, a teahouse in Pontocho, came to visit, so we all took a commemorative photo. The number of participating sake breweries is increasing, and it is becoming a fun event.
"It seems that in clubs in Kyoto, people toast with sake." A person involved in the event said that they want to continue this event until they hear more people say the same thing, and until it becomes the norm in Kyoto and all over Japan.
